Two
competitive contracts worth a combined value of $3,053,968 were awarded
to Tulmar Safety Systems Inc., Inc on
behalf of the Department of National Defence (DND). Under the terms
of the first contract, valued at $1,913,481, the Hawkesbury company
will supply DND with 9,000 life preservers by the end of December
2004. The second contract, worth $1,140,487, calls for the company
to supply 5,000 life preservers to DND. The goods which will be provided
under these contracts are part of the regular requirements of the
Department of National Defence. |

Tulmar
Safety Systems Inc. signs a multi-year sub-contracting agreement
to supply Diesel Division General Motors (DDGM) of London, Ontario
and General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) of Anniston, Alabama with
sewn parts for the Stryker, the new Interim Armored Vehicle (IAV)
for the US Army. The Stryker is being built by DDGM and GDLS as a
joint-venture. Tulmar will manufacture
cargo tie-down gear, custom covers and stowage bags for the new vehicles. |

Safety Systems Inc. of Hawkesbury, Ontario to supply the Department
of National Defence (DND) with 21 inflatable assault boats. |

A $1.1 million subcontract was awarded to Tulmar
Safety Systems Inc. of Hawkesbury, Ontario on behalf of the
Minister of National Defence. Tulmar Safety
Systems Inc. will supply a wide variety of sewn parts for
the new Canadian Forces Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) including
items such as custom design covers, tents and stowage bags. The subcontract
is let by Diesel Division General Motors (DDGM) of London, Ontario.
